What began as one of Africa’s biggest celebrity pregnancy stories has now become a celebration of new life. Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz have officially welcomed their first child together, marking a major milestone in one of East Africa’s most followed relationships.

The birth comes just days after the couple hosted a glamorous baby shower that captured the attention of fans across the continent. The event, attended by family, friends and fellow entertainers, featured an emotional gender reveal confirming they were expecting a baby girl.

One of the most talked-about moments of the celebration came when Diamond Platnumz publicly apologized to Zuchu in front of guests, a gesture many fans described as heartfelt after the couple’s well-documented ups and downs. He also surprised his wife with a reported cash gift worth US$30,000, adding another memorable moment to an event that quickly dominated social media conversations across East Africa.

The arrival of their daughter adds another chapter to Diamond Platnumz’s journey as a father. Before welcoming a child with Zuchu, the Bongo Flava superstar was already the father of Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan with Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan, Dylan Abdul Naseeb with Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto, and Naseeb Junior with Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna.

For Zuchu, motherhood marks a significant new chapter alongside a flourishing music career. The award-winning singer has established herself as one of Tanzania’s leading female artists, earning millions of fans across Africa through her music and performances.

The couple’s journey from chart-topping collaborations and a widely followed romance to marriage and now parenthood has kept them at the centre of Africa’s entertainment scene. Their latest milestone has once again united fans across the continent, with congratulatory messages pouring in as they begin life as parents to their baby girl.

The birth not only expands Diamond Platnumz’s family but also marks the beginning of a new chapter for one of East Africa’s most influential celebrity couples, whose story continues to resonate far beyond the music industry.
