Iran has officially chosen Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Ali Khamenei, as its new supreme leader. This comes during a heated conflict with Israel and the United States.

The appointment comes after the death of Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a strike earlier this month. Iran’s top military units, including the Revolutionary Guards, have pledged loyalty to Mojtaba, signaling that the country is united despite the conflict.

The missile attacks and leadership change have raised international concerns. Israel says it will continue to respond to threats, while experts warn the conflict could continue for some time.

Iran is likely to keep a hard-line stance, and the situation in the Middle East may remain tense.
